Job Description

Position Summary


As the Junior Front-End Developer, you will be responsible for supporting, facilitating and ensuring the technical growth of the online stores. This is a unique opportunity for an individual who is an excellent problem solver and is looking to gain further experience as a web developer.


Responsibilities


  • Provide user training, support, advice and feedback - from general user guidance to special project roll-outs
  • Heavy focus on SEO upkeep and maintenance
  • Assist in the development of internal systems such as Inventory Software, RFID, and the internal ticketing system
  • Ensure the site uptime and optimal load time are meeting industry standards
  • Research & suggest online initiatives and technologies
  • Collaborate with the E-Commerce team both individually and during weekly meetings to plan, implement and support new E-Commerce ideas and features
  • Manage NetSuite support cases that are related to SuiteCommerce Advanced
  • Assist and lead the development of the company’s 2 online stores
  • Regular website auditing and competitive analysis
  • Assist in any other projects and tasks as assigned


Requirements


  • Working knowledge in Networking (IPv4, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, VoIP, WAN/LAN)
  • Excellent communications skills, both in verbal and written
  • Post secondary in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
  • Previous work experience in configuring and troubleshooting
  • Experience in Data Analysis, Data Scrubbing/Cleansing
  • Experience working with software development (.NET, PHP, HTML, Javascript, jQuery, Web Services, Single Page Applications, JSON, Backbone.js, Node.js, MVC architecture)


Preferred Requirements


  • Previous experience in multi-site development
  • Knowledge in SSP Applications, SuiteScript, Commerce APIs & Item Search APIs
  • Knowledge in NetSuite SuiteCommerce Advanced websites
  • Experience in working with Data Layers
