Java Software Engineer Jobs

Responsibilities:

1. Team Leadership: Lead a team of Java developers, providing technical guidance, mentoring, and support. Assign tasks, set goals, and ensure high-quality deliverables. Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
2. Application Development: Design and develop Java-based applications within the Xstore retail platform, adhering to coding standards and best practices. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
3. Architecture and Design: Collaborate with architects and system designers to define the overall application architecture and design patterns for Xstore Java-based applications. Ensure scalability, performance, and maintainability of the applications.
4. Technical Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert in Java development and the Xstore platform. Stay up to date with the latest Java technologies, frameworks, and best practices. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the development team.
5. Code Reviews and Quality Assurance: Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and quality guidelines. Perform automated and manual testing to verify the functionality, performance, and security of the developed applications.
6. Troubleshooting and Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for production issues related to Xstore Java-based applications. Collaborate with support teams to analyze and resolve issues in a timely manner.
7. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, architects, project managers, and quality assurance teams. Effectively communicate technical concepts and solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
8. Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Create and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, system diagrams, and coding standards. Share knowledge and best practices with the development team and other stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies and Agile development practices.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively lead a development team and collaborate with stakeholders.
• Knowledge of web services, RESTful APIs, and integration frameworks.
• Previous experience in a lead or senior Java developer role, preferably within the retail industry and with exposure to the Xstore platform.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with the design and development of enterprise-level Java applications, including application architecture and design patterns.
• Familiarity with the Xstore retail platform and its customization capabilities using Java.
• Strong proficiency in Java programming language and Java-related technologies (e.g., Spring, Hibernate, JUnit).
