It Technician Apprentice Jobs

Our client are a leading global manufacturer and supplier of self-storage building solutions, hallway systems, and re-locatable storage units – and the security systems that protect them to boot! A total solutions provider for all things storage.

They are looking for an IT Apprentice to join their team and provide user support and IT administration tasks. While working, the apprentice will undertake a training programme to become qualified as an IT Technician with this Level 3 IT Technician Apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Support with upgrading, installing and configuring new hardware and software to meet company objectives
• Performing diagnostic tests and debugging procedures to optimise computer systems
• Using and managing a ticketing system, logging and dealing with user issues
• Hardware and software auditing
• Support on a variety of IT projects & IT systems maintenance
• Travel to remote sites on a regular basis to provide onsite support
• Remote support and on-site support for users
• Provide user support, including but not limited to, desktops, mobile devices and printers, in conjunction with third party support providers
• Working with and managing third party suppliers
• Documenting processes and procedures
• General physical IT duties, including but not limited to, desk cabling, server room presentation, desktop/hardware installs and office assistance
• Keeping up to date with advancements and best practices in IT administration
