Job Description
:

We are looking for an Information Technology (IT) Infrastructure Architect to provide technical leadership to enhance and support the IT infrastructure that hosts our client-facing and back-office applications in a hybrid (cloud and on-premises) environment. The successful candidate will ensure that our infrastructure meets or exceeds all performance, security, supportability, and availability requirements.

Skills:

  • Can lead the development of IT technology roadmap that is aligned with business strategy.
  • Has a good understanding of Virtualization including hardware platforms, storage devices, and network resources.
  • Can work in an Agile environment (be part of a team and manage your own time).
  • Can analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex IT infrastructure issues.
  • Has experience building and deploying containerized applications.
  • Has experience monitoring complex IT infrastructure for robustness and performance and proactively addressing warning signs before they become service outages.
  • Is passionate about assisting us in improving our IT infrastructure.
  • Thrives in a small multi-disciplinary team environment.
  • Can mentor other team members, promote new ideas and technical solutions.
  • Is proactive in defining IT Infrastructure needs, practices required in the business and can clearly articulate / communicate their value.
  • Cyber Security Knowledge Experience
  • 7+ years of experience architecting, designing, implementing and maintaining hybrid infrastructures.

Responsibilities

  • Create Proof of Concepts (PoCs) as required to select best solution alternatives.
  • Evaluate new technologies, tools and solutions.
  • Define and enforce relevant technical procedures and standards.
  • Evaluate, plan and accurately forecast IT resource and budgetary needs.
  • Install and configure new environments based on business requirements and needs.
  • Get a thorough understanding of the current architecture and oversee developing future component architecture and migration plans.
  • Lead periodic security audits, security vulnerability scans and resolution of findings.
  • Architect, design and implement solutions for new applications, tools, and platforms.

You should have experience with most of the following:

  • Experience with containerizations tools such Docker, Kubernetes.
  • Experience with one or more relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Snowflake, ...
  • Linux and Windows operating systems
  • Data Privacy (GDPR)
  • Software and Cyber Security
  • Virtualization technologies such as VMWare
  • Cloud technologies and public cloud platforms such as GCP, Azure, AWS.

You should understand:

  • Common development tools, such as Maven, Git, Jenkins, etc.
  • Relational data
  • BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, Birst
  • Software architecture

You must have:

  • Comfortable leading change
  • Willingness to learn and work with tools that are outside the traditional stack, such as Tableau, Okta, Confirmit, and others
  • Fantastic organization skills.
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.

You must be:

  • Detail-oriented (being able to pay close attention and notice minor details)
  • Business-savvy: need to be able to interact with both business specs and technical specs
  • A creative thinker: need to be able to come up with novel solutions to established problems and evaluate their business benefit.
