Description:


As an Instructor, you will be an expert practitioner and key educator in support of both nursing staff and the multi-disciplinary clinical team. You will take a leadership role in the planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of education for nursing staff including orientation, compulsory and continuing education, and clinical development. You will collaborate with management and internal partners to promote standards of clinical, educational and evidence informed practice. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.


Classification: Instructor Union: United Nurses of Alberta Unit and Program: Education Primary Location: Medicine Hat Regional Hospital Location Details: As Per Location Multi-Site: At (UNA only) FTE: 0.52 Posting End Date: 09-JUN-2023 Temporary Employee Class: Temp P/T Benefits Date Available: 28-MAY-2023 Temporary End Date: 31-MAR-2024 Hours per Shift: 7.75 Length of Shift in weeks: 2 Shifts per cycle: 5 Shift Pattern: Days Days Off: As Per Rotation Minimum Salary: $42.91 Maximum Salary: $57.57 Vehicle Requirement: Driver's License, Vehicle Provided


Required Qualifications:


Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). Additional Required Qualifications:


Baccalaureate degree in Nursing. 5 years experience in acute care. 2 years recent experience in Emergency or Critical care. ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC certification. Skill in cardiac monitoring. CNA emergency nursing certification. Demonstrated teaching and leadership skills, including coaching and conflict management skills. Excellent communication skills. Ability to use principles of time management and effective problem solving. Ability to network and develop working relationships with local and provincial Educators to share information, best practices, and suggestions to overcome barriers.


Preferred Qualifications:


Experience with patient/family centered care and collaborative practice. Courses in Adult Education,. Project planning and implementation experience.
