Innovation, Creativity, And Entrepreneurship Educator

SOAR is looking for dynamic, creative educators to join our pool of workshop facilitators. You will be responsible for facilitating and organizing educational skill building workshops and programs for students in grades 5-12 in Ontario and beyond. Topics include but are not limited to Design Thinking, Entrepreneurship, Creativity, Generative AI, Storytelling, etc.

What you'll do?

• Provide and create a safe, supportive, stimulating, and engaging environment for learning.
• Create workshop and program content, including evaluation tools and all supporting materials (digital and print).
• Work with the Director to understand client needs and program objectives to create custom workshops and programs.
• Deliver virtual and in-person workshops and programs.
• Foster positive relationships with students, educators and key stakeholders.

What you will bring?

• Strong computer skills - Microsoft Office (specifically in Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word), Google Drive, data management, webinar software (such as MS Teams, Zoom, Google Meet, etc.).
• Available to work flexible hours during school days.
• Demonstrated experience facilitating workshops in school settings.
• Ability to be able to travel to and from training locations throughout Ontario (assignments will
• Excellent interpersonal skills and proven track record to communicate effectively, both orally and written).
• Passion for working with and engaging youth in elementary and high school.
• Interest and expertise in at least one of the following: Creativity, Entrepreneurship, Innovation, Design Thinking, AI , Storytelling, Communication. If you are passionate about another area not listed here, feel free to mention this in your application.
• Experience working within the education system.
• A valid driver's license/Reliable transportation
• OCT (Ontario College of Teachers) membership is an asset but not required.
• A post-secondary degree/diploma in Education, Business, Design, or relevant is considered an asset.
• Bilingual (English and French) is considered an asset.

How it Works?

• This is a part-time, casual, contract role on a need basis.
• Assignments will be dependent on location. Please indicate your location in your application and surrounding areas you would be willing to drive to.
• Compensation will be commensurate with experience and per engagement.
• If successful, you will join a pool of educators we can call upon to facilitate workshops and related school engagements.
• Depending on the volume of bookings and programming needs, we may call upon you to facilitate an engagement. Ideally, you will have two-weeks notice of an engagement.
