About this opportunity:


The Identity and Access Management (IDM) Specialist, in conjunction with the Manager, Infrastructure & Cloud Services and organizational business units, is responsible for the planning, building, delivery and support of the IDM program. This role will provide direction and guidance to the development, specifications and communications of the IDM application and architecture, as well as provide in-depth technical consultation to the business units and IT management, assisting in developing plans and direction for the integration of information security requirements.


The IDM Specialist will collaborate with various teams including Enterprise Architecture, Human Resources, SAP and Cyber Security to understand business requirements and provide guidance to Operations teams for day-to-day activities.


This is an office-based position based in downtown Calgary, AB.


Responsibilities:


  • Align IDM processes across the organization, develop and document standards for organizational use.
  • Apply and ensure compliance with all appropriate security standards and alignment to regulatory access management controls.
  • Evaluate existing and emerging technologies and tools in the selection of an IDM service offering for the business units.
  • Facilitate the use of technology-based tools or methodologies to review, design and/or implement products and services to provide a strong IDM program that balances access with compliance and confidentiality.
  • Build and cultivate positive working relationships with business units
  • Identify the broader impact of current decisions related to user access, data access and information security including risks and related opportunities for improvement.
  • Participate in the solution delivery lifecycle of Cenovus’s IDM products.
  • Work with Cyber Security team to continuously improve the security posture of our Identity environment while balancing a positive client experience.
  • Provide technical leadership to the IDM team by protecting the integrity, availability and confidentiality of information assets while enabling business functionality in all systems and environments.
  • Work with business partners to transition user access and provisioning activities into Operations.
  • Partner with Enterprise Architecture and Integration/Security Engineers to implement and improve technology and process to enhance IDM monitoring, investigation, and response.
  • Support Merger, Acquistion and Divestiture activities as required.


Qualifications:


  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directories (MS and Azure).
  • 6 years’ operating an identity and access management application stack, ideally with a focus on PAM and IGA solutions life CyberArk, IdentityIQ, or similar platforms.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Solid understanding of web security standards and practices
  • Demonstrated technical understanding of Identity Governance and Administration processes and interactions with supporting processes and technologies (e.g., HR, ITSM, SOC, etc.).
  • 5+ years of experience in technology implementation.
  • Proven communication and collaboration skills.
  • Identity management familiarity in one or more of the following areas: single sign-on (SSO), data management, identity federation, enterprise directory architecture and design, including directory schema, directory services, namespace and replication topology experience, resource provisioning, ITIL, and process integration.
  • Working knowledge of Identity Management for Cloud platforms.
  • 10+ years IT Operational experience with a minimum of the following:


The following will be considered an asset:


  • Certification in Information Assurance Management (IAM) or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
  • Certification in one or more public cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Security software or internal IT audit experience.
