Job Description
We are looking for a HV Battery System Engineer who will report to the Power Unit Integration Team lead , and who’ll be tasked with helping us specifying and managing the HV Battery development . As part of your role, you’ll be significantly contributing to the development of the future power units for each product lines .

You’ll Have The Opportunity To
  • Integrate HV battery systems into vehicles to balance out performance, reliability, cost and weight requirements.
  • Manage the battery pack development requirements tracking in close cooperation with development engineering teams
  • Keep the HV Battery System development timeline in line with the Vehicle Development timeline.
  • Work with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure the relevant subsystems are designed with appropriate requirements.
  • Participate to the HV Battery System Design Reviews
  • Work with various cross-functional teams to develop requirements for new HV Battery System component in consistency with the Power Unit and the vehicle requirement
  • Develop system level requirements and specification documents working with the electrical and mechanical design teams.
  • Manage the open items and issues along the development in relation with Power Unit integration and Vehicle integration
  • Contribute to overall Power Unit architecture.
  • Support the development of functional safety-specific features and functions
  • Work closely with product design, quality, and manufacturing engineers, and the production team to ensure that the system supports all critical objectives for BRP.
  • Lead design verification activities
  • In close cooperation with V&V teams, guarantee the test and validation process occur according to specification and on-time.
  • Communicate with engineers to update/modify documentation to maintain accurate representation of deliverables
  • Support the development of processes and standardization across departments
YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:
  • You have experience with HV Li-ion Battery System
  • You are fluent in English and have good presentation and writing skills
  • You have experience using requirements management tools, ideally RV&S PTC.
  • You have knowledge of automotive standards such as ISO 26262, IATF 16494, AEC-Q100, APQP, PPAP; Knowledge of wired communication protocols (CAN,SPI) is an asset
  • You are familiar with Model Based Systems Engineering, Agile development of integrated systems (mechanical, electrical and software)
  • You have strong communication skills, a proactive and solution-oriented way of working and the willingness to familiarize yourself with new technologies & development tools
  • You are comfortable in an environment where technical solutions are not known, where the path is not traced and with the use of predictive analysis methods.
  • You have the ability to analyze and solve complex problems, creativity and ability to innovate.
  • You demonstrate strong interest in driving and designing recreational & performance vehicles.
  • You are skilled at working in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • You detain a Bachelor or Master’s Degree in engineering or similar field and with at least 5 years of experience.
