Hours: Monday - Friday, 6am-5pm
Salary: $28 - $34 an hour

Are you a Heavy Equipment Mechanic looking for a new opportunity looking to join a great team in the West end of Ottawa? If you have experience working on a variety of heavy equipment and enjoy conducting maintenance and repairs alone and with a team, this could be the opportunity for you!

• Starting wage of $24-$28/hr based on experience
• $500 annual tool allowance

• 2 weeks vacation plus personal days
• Overtime: After 44 hours

• Weekend overtime available
• Specialty tools are provided
• Health and Safety bonus
• Monday to Friday 6am-5pm

Responsibilities
As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic - Ottawa West, a normal day would include:

• Keep the fleet in excellent operating condition by performing ongoing repairs and maintenance
• Accurately record all repairs, maintenance, and service work performed on equipment
• Work closely with the rental team to ensure that equipment is ready for customer use in a timely fashion
• Conduct diagnostic tests on malfunctioning equipment and provide repairs as needed
• Conduct regular preventive maintenance on a variety of heavy equipment including excavators, skid-steers, backhoes, and other machinery

Qualifications
Who is the perfect match for this position?

• Excellent organization and time management skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Minimum 3 years of experience working with heavy equipment
• Experience with diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems
