Heavy Equipment Mechanic Jobs

One of our clients in Niagara Falls, ON is looking for Heavy Equipment Mechanic for their service.

Shift : Day

Responsibilities

• Must Work to insure Productivity, Quality and Customer service is maintained at the Highest Level Possible at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned such as preventative maintenance.
• Perform equipment inspections, access, diagnose, problem solve and repair defective quarry equipment in a safe efficient manner.
• Communicate with Supervisors and fellow staff if issues arise in a problem solving manner.
• This position requires the successful applicant to repair and maintain Quarry Equipment.
• Achieve all Requirements of Common Core Job Specific Training.
• Keep current and up-to-date with new equipment technology, diagnosis, and proficient in wiring.

Qualifications

• Must be able to demonstrate proficient computer skills. Report writing, record keeping and communication tasks.
• Must be mechanically inclined, proficient at welding.
• Be able to demonstrate necessary People Skills and Positive Attitude.
• Must be capable to resolve problems, be self motivated, positive and self reliant. With the support of Management.
• Candidates for this position must be a licensed mechanic in the Province of Ontario.
• Be willing to work flexible to insure quarry needs are met.
• Must be comfortable working at heights.
• Be willing to work in with exposure to dust, dirt, fumes, weather conditions and other sensory attributes that are experienced in a quarry.
• Typically this position would require long periods of standing, sitting, stooping at, on top of and under landfill equipment in order to maintain equipment.
• Heavy Equipment Mechanic may be required to kneel, stoop, bend, and stretch or carry objects weighing no more than 50lbs on a daily basis.
