Job Description
Are you a skilled administrator currently working in an office and finding yourself wanting more variety? Do you want to be a part of a fantastic team in an office surrounded by fellow shredders? If you're passionate about the mountains and winter adventure tourism, we have the perfect opportunity!

At Baldface, we take pride in being the ultimate destination for deep powder experience. Our staff is what makes our experience stand out, ensuring each guest feels remembered and welcomed. Being on the guest service team at Baldface requires a very friendly and inquisitive nature. As a Guest Services Representative (GSR), you will play a vital role in creating an unforgettable experience for our guests. From handling their booking inquiries to ensuring they have a seamless trip, you'll be their go-to person throughout their stay. Our guests are our bros, and they are stoked to be coming to Baldface.

This role may have you at the office on the phone, at the Nelson Airport, loading guests in a Heli, or in the Slocan Valley greeting our day shredders.

Responsibility Overview:

  • Assist with office tasks, including filing, data updates, and electronic document management.
  • Maintain meticulous records using our booking CRM, handling confirmations, waivers, and invoices precisely.
  • Extend a warm welcome to visitors, handle deliveries, and facilitate retail sales with professionalism and care.
  • Record and manage retail sales accurately through our POS system, maintaining a well-stocked and inviting retail environment.
  • Respond promptly and enthusiastically to guest inquiries, guiding and assisting them through our seamless booking process while prioritizing their needs and ensuring an exceptional experience.
  • Assist with the arrival and departure of goods for the lodge and office, as well as run various errands.
  • Greet guests at the airport, office, and bus, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed for a seamless experience.
  • Efficiently manage the season's waitlist, curating the perfect snowcat experience for each guest based on their experience, skills, and preferences.

There’s a lot of preparation before that first snowflake hits the ground, and it’s the responsibility of the team that our guests are prepared for their trip! Strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills are required. A passion for the mountains and an interest in snowboarding and skiing are definitely helpful. A background in office administration, hospitality and other related experience is a must.

This is a full-time (4-5 days per week) seasonal position beginning in November and ending in late March or early April. As we operate 7 days per week during the winter season, weekend/holiday work is required.

This posting will close on August 31, 2023. Interviews of qualified applicants will begin in September.
