Group Health & Safety Manager

The Group Health & Safety Manager will possesses the confidence to assume responsibility for managing and coordinating our systems throughout the warehousing operations across multiple sites. Collaborating with your wider Health & Safety team, your primary objective will be to ensure the safety across all operations and processes.

My client are a multi-site FMCG warehousing/distribution business based in Halifax, with multiple sites across England.

The key responsibilities for the role of Group Health & Safety Manager will be:

• Developing strategies to plan and organise working systems in order to minimise health and safety risks, while recommending appropriate adjustments to plans, machinery, and processes.
• Assuming full responsibility for the company's preparations for annual safety audits and QA.
• Developing and implementing initiatives to foster a Zero Harm culture throughout the organisation.
• You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant health and safety laws.
• Managing and developing three direct reports at various sites.
• Continuously reviewing and auditing health and safety management arrangements, making improvements as necessary.
• Engaging with all operations teams to ensure adherence to health and safety policies.
• Managing on-site safety training requirements by designing and delivering suitable training interventions.

The successful candidate for the role of Group Health & Safety Manager will have:

• NEBOSH Diploma level qualification or equivalent, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of relevant UK Health and Safety legislation.
• Experience within a similar multi-site role.
• Experience managing health & safety within warehousing.
• A strong background in health & safety.
• Experience managing and developing people.
• IOSH (CIOSH) or equivalent.

The successful candidate for the role of Group Health & Safety Manager will receive:
