Summary

Hamilton Kent is seeking for a temporary General Laborer/ Helper to join their team on the day shift.

Principle Accountabilities

• The incumbent ensures that the work performed aligns with the requirements of the health, safety and environment.
• Prepare packing for shipping
• Document all required information
• Sustain housekeeping around the work area
• Follow plant health, safety and environmental policies, rules and regulations.
• Perform other duties as the need arises by supervision to meet production standard/company quality requirements
• Follow all company policies and procedures are followed accurately
• Operating light press equipment, hand tools
• Report health, safety and environmental hazards to the Site supervisor
• Stock Inventory
• Help with variety of duties around the shop floor, supporting other workers in their tasks

Requirements

• Read and write English
• Previous knowledge/experience in manufacturing an asset
• Ability to work on production floor, understanding tape measure, simple machine operations, hand tools
• Excellent attendance
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• High school diploma

WORKING CONDITIONS

Incumbent spends 100% of time in the plant environment requiring varying degrees of moderate physical labour. Considerable amount of sensory attention, significant and sustained mental effort are required. The incumbent must be able to work under stress and tight deadlines.
