Role Description

This is a contract Game Programmer role with a hybrid nature, located in Greater Toronto Area, but allowing for some remote work. The Game Programmer will be responsible for the day-to-day development, coding, and testing of interactive games and software applications. In collaboration with other programmers, the Game Programmer will participate in game design, system design, and implementation. This role involves working with evolving technologies and complex systems, and requires strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Ability to work collaboratively with a team and take direction from the Lead Programmer
• Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) skills
• Experience with JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, or other web development technologies
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Game Programming, Game Development, and Programming skills
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Strong understanding of game mechanics, game engines, and game development cycles
• Experience with C#, Unity, Unreal, or other game engines

Experience working with mobile game development, virtual reality, and augmented reality is a plus.
