Job Description

Job Title: Funding Drive Coordinator


Start date:September 5, 2023


End date:December 15, 2023


About the position

  • The salary for this position is $48,046 per annum, pro-rated for the contracted duration
  • Reports to the Executive Director
  • Contract position from September 5, 2023 to December 15, 2023
  • Is hybrid, requiring full-time presence at the CKCU studio during Funding Drive
  • The CKCU 2023 Funding Drive takes place from October 27-November 12. The successful candidate may be required to work some evenings and weekends during that time.
  • Due to the nature of the position, a Criminal Record Check will be requested of a candidate under consideration. The fee will be reimbursed upon a formal offer of employment.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Assist in gathering, organizing, and distributing donation incentives
  • Deliver trainings, communications, and reports to volunteers in a timely manner
  • Work with CKCU staff, Fundraising Committee, and volunteers to execute CKCU’s 2023 Funding Drive plan
  • Assist with creation and execution of all Funding Drive communications (website, appeal letters, e-appeals, social media, etc.)
  • Work with the Volunteer & Engagement Manager to fill volunteer positions for Funding Drive, deliver the 2023 Funding Drive Kick-off party, and develop and execute a Funding Drive volunteer recognition plan
  • Accurately maintain the donor database (Canada Helps) and address any issues
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Assist with administrative and operational tasks related to the Funding Drive
  • Administer and implement CKCU’s 2023 Funding Drive plan


Required Skills and Experience

  • A passion for the arts and enthusiasm for CKCU’s mission
  • Flexibility in schedule and ability to work off-hours
  • Demonstrated flexibility, resourcefulness, and problem-solving under pressure
  • Superb organizational, project and time management skills
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite


Desired Characteristics

  • Knowledge of Canada Helps
  • Experience working with volunteers
  • Experience in community radio, fundraising, or the not-for-profit sector
