As an Engineering manager, you will be managing a team of around 10 software engineers in delivering new features and capabilities to one of our SaaS products for our Power division. You can learn more about NEOGOV’s Power products here: https://www.powerdms.com/ .
This is a highly technical role. You will support the team to plan, design, develop and deploy feature additions to both current and future products. As one of the engineering leaders in the organization, you will be providing technical guidance, influencing and driving the company’s technical and product vision forward.
What You Will do

• Lead a team of Software Engineers, provide technical leadership and guidance to both your team members and peers
• Measure the impact of your teams and set clear goals and expectations
• Partner with leadership to influence and drive technical vision and product roadmap
• Advocate for continuous innovation and challenge existing implementations
• Mentor engineers at various levels of experience to grow a well-balanced team
• Collaborate with product, project & design teams in the planning and prioritization of work

Who You Are

• Experienced in working with cross-functional teams
• Experienced and highly technical people manager with proven ability to build strong team cultures based on mutual respect and empathy
• Empathetic and have a growth mindset with a desire to learn and embrace challenges

What You Have

• 3+ years of experience managing multiple software engineering teams
• 7+ years of experience developing in .NET, C#
• Strong experience with integrations, APIs
• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent work experience
• Extensive experience in recruiting and building teams
