What you'll be doing

As a member of CIBC’s Capital Market’s Technology, Risk Management & Treasury Trading, Operations Systems you’ll be at the heart of CIBC’s digital transformation, successfully delivering complex, enterprise-scale projects involving multiple back-end systems. This Full Stack .NET Web Developer will assemble, implement and maintain easy, flexible, and personalized solutions that enhance client experience. Additionally, you'll assist with the planning and strategy for the technical design, development and integration of these applications.

How You'll Succeed

• Strong analytical skills - Be able to think of how to determine root cause and solution when dealing with production issues.
• Team player – Collaborate with various teams including upstream/downstream system, and business analysts. Participate in agile team’s daily stand ups and communicate daily change updates to impacted teams. Be able to give and accept suggestions by colleagues.
• Development subject expert matter – Represent the development team at various agile stand ups and huddles. Communicate development team requirements and standards. Investigate production issues by performing root cause analysis and identifying short term and long term technical and process solutions. Apply content management best practices and principles including, content reusability, flexibility, extensibility, naming convention standards, and quality assurance. Contribute to and document coding standards, and content management best practices including accessibility standards.
• Design and development - Perform and coordinate complicated application programming activities. Design the application's technical infrastructure using specific databases, programming languages, utilities, and testing approaches. Be able to breakdown requirements into tasks/user stories and be able to estimate effort required.
• Strong comprehension skills - Be able to understand requirements and be able to think outside of the box in order to provide the best solution possible. Be able to understand other people's work as most work are enhancements to existing functionality.
