In this position, you will be taking on a supporting role in the web development at Spotwork. You must acquire a

firm understanding of all the features the web application offers at any given time to support the

development team and company as a whole. Additionally, you must be confident working with designers to

implement front-end components from wireframes. Spotwork is a fast-growing company with huge potential for

personal growth and promotion within the company. We are currently working on expanding to the US and

are looking for new leaders at the company to support this.

Reports to: Head of Software Development

What you will be doing:

• Writing and maintaining tests
• Develop new features for the front-end and Backend
• Understanding Agile/Scrum principles on the development team to ensure optimal performance of yourself and the team
• Willingness to learn new technologies
• Working with Web development team to develop various applications
• Performing Bug Fixes in an efficient and timely manner
• Work with designers to implement wireframes with a 1-1 accuracy
• Maintain quality and ensure responsiveness of web apps, through coding best practices and testing.
• Attending and contributing to meetings focussed on developing high-quality web applications
• Create and maintain development environments for Web Development

What you will bring:

• Experience designing and maintaining of NoSQL databases
• Self-starter, keen to enhance processes to make Spotwork more efficient and productive
• Experience working with UI/UX designers to develop front-end features from wireframes.
• Nice to have: experience working with Redux, Firebase, Bit.dev and an understanding of micro frontends
• Understanding and implementation of security and data protection.
• Experience working with CI/CD platforms (Circle CI)
• Ability to write scalable, highly performant code.
• Strong problem-solving skills
• An ability to be able to read and understand documentation
• Experience working with tracking software such as JIRA
• Understanding of common design patterns in the web development space
• Mandatory: Strong understanding of git
• Agile Development experience with a focus on SCRUM
• An eye for detail to make sure everything is pixel-perfect
• Mandatory: real work experience developing React web applications
• Tech Stack: React, Redux, Firebase, Bit.dev
