Resumes are being accepted for the position of Front of House Staff at the River Run Centre within the Culture and Recreation Department. The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of tasks to support the success of an event. Guided by the goals and objectives of the City’s Strategic Plan and committed to the Corporate Values of integrity, service, inclusion, wellness and learning, the candidate will aid in the achievement of the Vision for an inclusive, connected and prosperous city.


Hours of Work


10-20 hours per week, shifts will vary, including some evenings and weekends as required.


Your role


  • Assisting the volunteers in their positions as needed.
  • Counting floats and deposits.
  • Supervising the individual levels of the theatre.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Monitoring patron activity.
  • Bar inventory count-in and out.
  • Stocking bar inventory.
  • Assisting in emergency situations.


Qualifications


  • Able to work under pressure.
  • Experience with POS systems including Debit/Credit is an asset.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Capable of multi-tasking.
  • Knowledge of theatre and/or concession services.
  • Comfort handling cash and inventory.
  • First Aid training is an asset.
  • A positive attitude when dealing with co-workers, volunteers and patrons are essential.
  • Ability to do light lifting of bar and concession inventory.
  • Completion of a Grade 12 Diploma.
  • Ability to work well with volunteers in a team environment.
  • Candidates should have completed their Smart Serve Certification.


Rate


$18.21 - $19.16 per hour
