Job Description

New Value Solutions, a national IT consulting company, is seeking a Front End React.js Developer to help our client rebuild a custom web application.


Responsibilities:


  • Collaboration: Collaborate with UX designers, backend developers, and other team members to ensure seamless integration with APIs and other backend services.
  • Performance Optimization: Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs, and optimize application for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Work in an Agile environment, participating in sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospective meetings.
  • Secure Coding Practices: Implement secure coding practices to protect the application from threats.
  • Front-End Development: Design, develop, and optimize front-end application interfaces using React.js.
  • Build reusable components and front-end libraries for future use.
  • Code Review: Participate in code reviews to maintain high-quality code.
  • Testing: Write comprehensive unit tests using Jest or similar testing frameworks. Implement end-to-end testing using tools like Cypress.
  • Responsive Design: Design and implement responsive web applications that function flawlessly on various devices and screen sizes.


Requirements:


  • 5+ years of experience with React.js.
  • Experience with state management using libraries like Redux or Context API.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, with a strong understanding of performance debugging and benchmarking.
  • Experience building Progressive Web Apps (PWAs) is an asset.
  • Familiarity with Git and GitHub pull request workflows.
  • Familiarity with OWASP top 10 and other web security vulnerabilities.
