Freelance Developer Jobs

Endy is looking for an experienced Freelance Developer to join our team on a project basis. In this role, you will be responsible for developing new features for our eCommerce headless website according to project requirements. Working with an agile environment, you will provide valuable insight on project scope, collaborate with our in-house team, and deliver high quality code ensuring that project goals are met.

Our ideal candidate has a keen attention to detail and has a passion for building exceptional online experiences. You thrive in collaboration and enjoy working within various cross-functional teams. You have a strong ability to effectively communicate concepts and ideas, and can be highly adaptable in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do:

• Participate in QA sessions, agile rituals and code reviews
• Communicate regularly with the development team and ensure all features are well-documented
• Adhere to project timelines and deliver projects within agreed-upon deadlines
• Design, develop and deploy customized technical solutions that meet project specifications
• Maintain an understanding of industry trends and technology developments and share insights with the team to inform current and future projects
• Collaborate with UX designers to ensure designs are translated into responsive code that aligns with design system
• Write clean, scalable and reusable code with React, Next.js, and Sanity CMS
• Confer with teams to resolve conflicts, prioritize needs, and navigate complex problems
• Collaborate with developers, designers and product owners to achieve project goals

Who You Are:

• Thrive in a team environment and passionate about cross-departmental collaboration
• Minimum 3+ years of industry experience (Experience with Shopify Headless and/or eCommerce platforms a major plus!)
• Able to communicate ideas clearly and effectively, and make a strong impact in decision making
• Experience leading dev teams and projects considered an asset
• Passionate about learning and improving when solving complex problems
• Knowledgeable and passionate about AODA/WCAG requirements
• Able to manage time independently and set expectations on the level of effort for tasks
• Excellent front-end development skills: CSS, JavaScript, REST APIs, Git, TypeScript
• Experience using React, Next.js, and Headless CMS in a production environment
• Experience working with designers and translating designs into functional, responsive websites
