Job Description
Job Title: Foreman


Location: Burlington, ON but the position will require travelling to other locations within GTA

Salary: $90k/year


Adecco is seeking a skilled Foreman to join our team in Burlington, ON. As a Foreman, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of construction workers engaged in general construction, concrete, and/or concrete repair environment. You will also be responsible for ensuring job site safety and quality-oriented work.


Responsibilities:


  • Assist crew with set-up and break-down of jobsite(s) to include protection of the environment and surrounding real property.
  • Inspect and maintain all equipment to ensure proper and safe installation of material(s). Make proper repairs as necessary and immediately report any deficiencies which may present safety or quality concerns to supervisor.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of construction workers engaged in general construction, concrete, and/or concrete repair environment.
  • Regularly inspect and maintain equipment and hoses for application of said finish to ensure proper installation and safety.
  • Perform various manual tasks on the crew in an efficient, productive, and quality-oriented manner.


Skills:


  • Team-oriented -- cooperative and collaborative
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to listen to and understand information presented as well as communicate effectively with clients on jobsites.
  • Minimum 3+ years' experience working in general construction, concrete, and/or concrete repair environment.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
  • Outcome-oriented -- results-focused with strong performance culture
  • Working knowledge specific to potential hazards associated with pneumatically applied concrete and appropriate precautions to ensure job site safety.
  • Detail-oriented -- quality and precision-focused
  • Basic understanding of the fundamental principles of exposed concrete.


The ideal candidate must possess knowledge/proficiency in all areas of plaster application as well as supervision in the performance of duties of other crew members (Nozzleman/Finisher/Mixer etc.). Ability to take initiative while also contributing effectively to team goals is essential. Applicant must possess skills to work safely and efficiently at all times while having reliable transportation to/from work. Some occasional overnight travel is required; hotel accommodations provided for overnight stays.
