Department OverviewTD Securities Corporate & Investment Banking is one of the leading Investment Banking franchises in Canada. Our team provides corporate and government clients with capital markets and financial advisory services worldwide. We meet our client's needs every day by providing them with sophisticated knowledge of capital markets and precise execution capabilities.

The Business Management team within Corporate & Investment Banking is responsible for providing ongoing operational and strategic support to Relationship Managers and Senior Executives within the department, such that their focus can remain on providing optimal client coverage. The team liaises with various TDS and TDBG support partners including Finance, Compliance, Human Resources, Technology, and Premises to advance the needs of the department, as well as assist with rolling-out any firm or bank-wide initiatives.

In this role as a Finance Analyst, CIB Business Management, you will support the Director, Business Management in providing operational expense management & analysis for the Corporate & Investment Banking department globally.

• Manage end to end client billing cycle for Equity, M&A and Commercial Brokerage transactions
• Leverage technology to identify efficiencies in processes, and areas for improvement.
• Manage month-end and quarter-end accounting functions for CIB, including expense review and posting of journal entries
• Monthly and Quarterly reporting for key department metrics
• Own the vendor invoicing process, including sponsorships & donations, from initial approval to the final payment.
• Manage all incoming legal invoices, including those submitted electronically via TyMetrix, working with Front Office, and TD Legal to ensure timely payment.
• Act as SME for both TDBFG and CIB Expense policies, which includes providing advice & guidance to both bankers and administrative staff with respect to expense related queries and reconciling differences between the two policies and making updates/adjustments as necessary.
• Conduct ad hoc reporting and analysis as requested
• Develop and maintain relationships with client-facing corporate & investment banking professionals, Finance support partners and the TDS Finance Operations team.
• Act as SME for Coupa system / EMS and provide training to new hires on expense policies & reimbursement process

• Intermediate Excel Skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Proven analytical skills, problem solving ability, and meticulous attention to detail
• Ability to manage high volumes of data in a fast paced, deadline oriented environment
• Intellectual curiosity, passion for innovation & simplification
• Demonstrates good judgement and discretion

Specific Educational Requirements / Accreditations

• CPA, CGA or CPA, CMA is preferred
• Undergraduate degree in Finance or Accounting
