The Opportunity

We are actively seeking a Field Service Technician to join our growing team at AGI Swift Current, a division of AGI. This position is responsible for repairing and servicing a wide variety of portable and permanent agriculture machinery. The main areas of focus include meeting service requirements, station set up, health & safety and quality control.

The Team

We are currently a dynamic team of 2 from varied backgrounds. We work closely with the entire AGI Swift Current Team. The Field Service Technician will report directly to the Product Manager.

Responsibilities

The Field Service Technician is responsible for the following but limited to:

• Assist in product assembly processes when required
• Repair and service a wide variety of portable agriculture machinery such as augers, conveyors, post pounders, grain vacuums, and seed treaters
• Safe operation, maintenance, and inventory management of a service vehicle
• Ensure that safe work practices are followed and adhered to
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and maintain all equipment, to like new appearance, according to maintenance plans and established procedures
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere
• In the field repairs on permanent commercial and non-commercial grain and fertilizer handling job sites
• Continue to grow lean knowledge
• Parts knowledge, interpretation of parts catalogues and parts ordering for repairs
• Work order creation and repair documentation
• Confers with engineers, production personnel, programmers, or others to resolve repair or assembly problems.

Qualifications

• Exceptional customer service skills
• A willingness to work unconventional hours when required
• Proficiency in hydraulic system and small gas engine diagnostics and repairs
• Good organizational skills.
• Experience working safely near moving machinery or hazardous areas
• Two or more years of agriculture or heavy-duty repair experience
• Clean driving abstract
• Ability to multi-task.
• Knowledge of equipment and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
• Able to work independently, with minimal supervision, while part of a team.
• Experience working on commercial sites
• Mechanically inclined a must
• Capable of troubleshooting and problem solving.
• Willingness to learn and take instruction.
• Experience repairing augers, conveyors, post pounders, grain vacuums, and seed treaters
• Physically able to lift to 50lbs.
