Position Overview:
We are on the hunt for a talented and reliable Field Service Preventative Maintenance Technician to join our team! In this position, your main responsibility is to complete Preventative Maintenance fluid and filter changes, greasing, plus any troubleshooting and minor repairs on a variety of Caterpillar equipment primarily in the field.
Our ideal candidate will be a jack-of-all-trades, with in-depth knowledge of maintenance procedures, hydraulic systems, and basic tools and appliances. To excel in this position, you must be an outstanding problem-solver with exceptional communication and organizational skills.
Join the Finning Team! You will report to the Field Service Supervisor. In this position of Field Service Preventative Maintenance Lubrication Technician you will be responsible for completing Preventative Maintenance fluid and filter changes, greasing, plus any troubleshooting and minor repairs on a variety of Caterpillar equipment primarily in the field.
:
  • Plan and schedule repairs
  • Repair faulty equipment units
  • Inspect equipment and systems to identify any issues
  • Perform general maintenance tasks
  • Maintain the inventory records for equipment and supplies
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance procedures
Qualifications
  • Any other relevant training as required would be considered an asset such as:
  • O Fall Protection
  • O H2S Alive
  • O Overhead Crane
  • Equivalent qualification
  • Valid Driver’s license.
  • Certified Heavy Equipment Technician (Red Seal) would be considered an asset
  • Transmission or Hydraulic testing would be considered an asset
  • O WHMIS
  • O Transportation of Dangerous goods
  • Engine and/or component rebuilding experience would be considered an asset
  • O Contamination control
  • Apprentice Heavy Equipment Technician is a minimum requirement
  • O Forklift
  • O Eye, Hand and Back Safety
  • Previous experience with Caterpillar equipment/engines
Notes:
  • Candidate selection will be in compliance with the terms of the current collective agreement
  • Must be able to comply with Covid-19 requirements(If applicable)
  • Tool Allowance: $650/year)
  • May Consider Non Red Seal Journeyman
  • What We Offer:

  • This position is on a Mon-Fri 5x2 shift rotation at our Regina Branch. This position will require travel. It will be servicing a wide region around Regina.
  • Hourly rate: To be determined by Experience and trade level
