AIR COMPRESSOR SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Based in Windsor, Ontario, Trident Compressed Air Ltd. has established itself as a leading supplier and service provider of industrial compressed air equipment throughout South Western Ontario. We are seeking a reliable, customer service focused individual, with excellent electrical/mechanical skills to provide industry leading service to our customers. The Service Technician will be a responsible, motivated, and self-reliant individual who also works well as part of a team, maintaining positive relationships with customers, vendors and co-workers. The successful Candidate will report to the Service Manager, and work closely with our existing Service Coordinator.

This position will include but not limited to:
•Complete preventive maintenance on all aspects of compressed air equipment
•Diagnosing, and repair of compressed air and drying systems, utilizing knowledge of electronics, direct digital control, airflow, mechanical compression, refrigeration theory, control and mechanical techniques in various industrial settings
•Complete preventive maintenance on all aspects of compressed air equipment
•Utilize specialized hand tools and software, technology, following schematics and engineered drawings or engineering specifications, to diagnose and repair units.
•Engage in retrofit, repair and installation of compressed air systems, utilizing knowledge of air compression theory, pipe fitting, and mechanical layouts
•Keeps current on products concerning operation, maintenance, service, installation, and repair of compressed air systems and PLC Controls.
•Interact with, and communicate with customers in person and on the phone.
•Reviewing technical manuals, websites, and data bases to assist with the diagnosis and repair of equipment.
•Operating a service vehicle for on-site customer repairs. Must possess a valid driver license and a clean driving record.
•Working as part of a team with other technicians, service manager, service coordinator, parts coordinator(s), and sales personnel.
•Combination of in-shop work and work at customer locations, including some out of town work from time to time.
•Minimum 40 hour work week plus rotating after-hours on-call and possible weekends as the business requires. Occasional overnight travel may occur depending on customer location and requirements.
•Some administrative tasks including completion of work orders, reports, safety forms, etc
Previous air compressor repair experience, licensed millwright, electrical troubleshooting, and / or refrigeration repair experience are required for this position.
