Job Purpose


Provide technical support for EnerSys batteries and systems. Provide an on-site presence to engage customers and support the team to deliver quality service. Leverage experience to mentor team members in the areas of Health and Safety, quality, standards, and best practices. This role is expected to help achieve financial targets by driving both revenue and margin.


Essential Duties And Responsibilities


  • Completes and submits reports as required
  • Perform/support Preventative Maintenance routines, which would include completing reports and data analysis, which would identify key areas where the clients could improve their systems or are at risk based on the data collected
  • Maintains a safe, orderly, and clean working environment
  • Install data cabinets, cable tray infrastructure, including load bearing axillary systems, Fiber Optic Raceways, Grounding and alarm connections
  • Is directly responsible for company assets such as service vehicles, inventory, tools, laptops, and test equipment
  • Maintains truck log, if necessary, according to provincial and or federal requirements
  • Travel when required to perform installations, repairs, and preventative maintenance
  • Provide support for maintaining calibration of tools
  • Contribute to company revenue and margin targets by supporting the execution of quality work within project timelines and budget
  • Follows all company policies and procedures as listed, but not limited to: Warranty policies, Federal & Provincial safety standards, transportation of dangerous goods
  • Perform/support rectifier and inverter module swaps, and updating system inventories
  • Support Commissioning of DC power plants, inverters, and battery conductance readings, testing of system and equipment alarms
  • Coordination of shipping and receiving, and in the field, material audits to identify shortages
  • Maintains good communication with Field Supervisor
  • Interacts with internal and external stakeholders
  • Support the installation of DC Power plants, BDFB’s, inverters, UPS, and DC Battery systems


Qualifications


Minimum Qualifications


  • Able to comprehend and compose documents such as customer correspondences, technical manuals, memos, and reports in English and/or French
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Able to work and demonstrate safe work procedures with hand and power tools
  • Required to complete RP101, RP201, or Systems equivalent
  • A strong understanding of company procedures and policies
  • Thorough understanding of, and adherence to, safety policies and procedure
  • Able to travel to support in-field operations
  • Requires 2+ years of related experience
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and Teams
  • Able to identify changes in scope,
  • Strong knowledge of our client’s and industry standards such as IEEE & Telcordia
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Able to perform math calculations and measurements
  • Ability to identify and find solutions for complex problems


Preferred Qualifications


  • The ability to read electrical and construction schematics
  • The ability to use test equipment and interpret the collected reading/data
  • Post-secondary certificate or diploma
  • Advanced electrical understanding being able to identify and mitigate risks related to electrical circuits
