Location: 500 Lakeshore Blvd West, Toronto
We have adopted the following Hybrid working model (a combination of working between the office and remotely). Colleagues will continue working remotely up to 3 days a week, while spending the other 2 days in the office.
Why This Role Is Important
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Product Operations & Payments, the Product Operations Analyst Co-op (that’s you!) will be involved in a range of initiatives from day-to-day operational tasks to longer-term projects making a real impact across our portfolio of banking products. You will be responsible for supporting card management activities for our PC Mastercard and PC Money Account product portfolios, engaging with cross-functional partners to deliver high-priority production tasks, and participating in business case planning and implementation. This role offers an outstanding opportunity to join a fast-paced, purposeful, and agile business team at a leading Canadian Digital Bank.
What You'll Do
  • Support the improvements of core operational procedures enabling Bank-wide accountabilities
  • Support day-to-day 3rd Party Request operations and execution, including request intake, stakeholder engagement, investigation, and fulfillment
  • Analyze research and internal data to gain an understanding of customer insights, evaluate the competitive landscape and identify product growth opportunities
  • Hone financial and business analysis skills by supporting analyses of Payment Processing Operations OPEX drivers and other expense categories as needed
  • Identify product/operational requirements (business and technical) to support business case planning and discovery phases of business case creation
  • Support longer-term OPEX-driven initiatives, as defined by the business
  • Work with the Product Operations & Payments teams to ensure the teams Confluence, JIRA and Slack pages are regularly updated to accurately reflect our evolving roadmap
  • Support project launch activities like Production (PROD environment) Testing and Validations to ensure successful launch in market
What You Bring
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving- skills, and outstanding analytical skills
  • Ideally has previous experience in product or operations management (either from previous summer or co-op placements, case studies, or other project work in school) considered an asset
  • Ability to communicate information in creative, concise, and easy-to-understand ways to cross-functional stakeholders
  • Demonstrated strong ability collaborating as a member of a team and a passion for learning
  • Ability to excel under pressure and under tight deadlines, with attention to detail, a sense of personal ownership, accountability, and with a flair for credible data
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint is a must
  • Pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and returning to school in the following term
  • Ability to prioritize and independently complete assigned tasks
  • Ability to take on sophisticated, ambiguous problems and effectively communicate your solutions with reasonable (stated) assumptions and frame it as a story
