We are currently looking for a motivated and personable individual who is exceptional in building relationships and managing sales and events to join our team as our Event Manager.
The ideal candidate will have at least five years’ business development experience and be able to demonstrate success in:
- Sponsorship acquisition
- Reputable account management
- A proven sales process
- Coordination and delivery of successful events
- Positive customer relationship management
- Customer retention strategies
- New sales and lead generation
- Professional business communications
Candidates should be able to describe their approach to providing positive customer service, effective community relations, and experience managing and building cohesive relationships, both internally and externally.
The successful candidate will continue to build on our relationships with our current members while also creating new sales opportunities through prospecting and developing new client relationships.
For someone looking for growth opportunities in this role, they must be effective in time management strategies, have a high growth mindset, be interested in professional development and be interested in seeking out new opportunities within the Chamber, while maintaining a high calibre of current event delivery.
Key targets and outcomes would be:
- Trade show exhibit spaces
- Produce and manage one major trade show per year
- Develop and meet budgets on a year-over-year basis
- Produce and manage business recognition events
- Highway signs
- Evaluate options for additional fundraising event opportunities
- Advertising opportunities
- Evaluate other community and business partnerships
- Market and sell advertising and marketing opportunities for the Chamber to businesses including:
- Sponsorships
- Grand openings and other events
