About The Opportunity
The Emergency Support Aide has an important role within the health care team. They are responsible for providing assistance care with daily routines and to support residents/clients with activities of daily living. The role may include: the provision of basic fundamental care, specimen collection for COVID-19 and providing post-immunization recovery and other support functions for mass immunization clinics, under the guidance and direction of licensed health care professionals.
Being a part of the mobile team means that you are comfortable:

• Serving vulnerable/marginalized populations
• Working with a multi-disciplinary team
• Staying overnight if required (depending on destination)
• Driving and travelling in all seasons in your own reliable vehicle

About You
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

• Current BCLS an asset
• Excellent interpersonal skills to deal with residents/clients, hospital staff, public and referral sources
• Completed Grade 12/GED
• Knowledge of infection control procedures an asset
• Competencies in other languages an asset; French preferred
• Knowledge of COVID screening process an asset

Hours

• Please note dates are approximate and subject to change
• Beginning as soon as possible with an expected end date of March 31, 2024
• Long assignment full time position; 75 hours biweekly

Compensation and Incentives
$19.16 - $20.58 Hourly
Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan. (Permanent Long Assignments Only)
