DESCRIPTION:
Robert Half is hiring now for a results-oriented and accomplished Embedded Software Developer to fulfill a role for our Client. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, creating, and testing embedded system software for telecommunications and industrial IOT devices that are used in remote field installations that have a high uptime requirement. You will utilize your top-notch technical skills to work with QA to develop and execute test cases for system design verification and develop firmware, scripts and applications to automate hardware testing. You will actively participate in developing the hardware requirements and interfaces, and you will have the chance to collaborate with product management and customers to define our client's products. Our Client is based in Calgary, AB.

Requirements
MUST HAVES:

• Experience with digital signal processing
• 5+ years’ experience in embedded systems software design
• Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent discipline
• Proven programming experience in C/C++, Assembler, Lua
• Proven experience with Linux and Android embedded systems, and writing device drivers for these OSes.
• Familiarity with a leading IoT platforms and accompanying ecosystem (Azure IoT, AWS IoT, AWS Kinesys Video, Cumulocity, Thingworx) and working with Zephyr RTOS and DeviceOS preferred
• Experience with TCP/IP communications incl. MQTT
