Roles And Responsibilities

• Replacing 6A/15A/30A Fuses, Fuse Holders, Receptacles, 10 AWG Wiring, 1500A/175A breakers, Merser Distribution Power Blocks
• Pulling SEL & SCADA transformer logs to investigate any irregularities
• Contribute to and lead efforts/projects in the deployment, maintenance, and support of current and new data center infrastructure
• Operation of Skid Steer (certificate & competency test provided upon hiring)
• Communication with Main Operator when preforming work including taking down power channels and any LOTO
• Checking PSI, Oil levels, and regular maintenance of Transformers
• Work with external contractors regarding Switch Cube, Main Switch Gear & other projects
• Negative Sequence balancing on 277V 3-phase
• When not doing electrical work, assist Operators in troubleshooting ASIC miners, miner pulls/deploys, filter washes & installation, harrowing, restoring cameras, controlling power of ASIC miners while monitoring power prices & all other regular operations tasks
• Maintenance of structures, barricades, vehicles (UTV/Skid Steer/Trucks), and all other assets on site
• Regular Electrical Inspection & Scheduled Maintenance of equipment present on site
• Resetting Transformers, PLC Cabinets & Network Switches to restore operations and communication of BBAC’s (Block Box Air Cooled Containers)
• Tapping up/down Transformer Voltages
• Welding experience an asset

Specific Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Certified Journeyman Electrician
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts (shift-work, night-shift, weekends and holidays) as required.
• Strong work ethic with demonstrated dedication and reliability
• Any additional safety tickets such as Standard First Aid & CPR will be considered an asset
• Ability to lift and move heavy materials up to 40lbs
• Ability to effectively interact with all levels of management, contractors and employees
• Proven ability to adapt to a variety of environmental factors and extreme weather conditions while performing operational requirements
• Provide on call support for after hour callouts
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Must be able to work as a member of a team
• Minimum 1 years’ experience related to the IT field or similar required
• Understand and follow verbal and written directions
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Job Requirements

• Must have a means of transportation as most locations are not accessible with public transportation
• Must have 6” heel CSA approved safety boots.
• This role is a Safety Sensitive Position and may require additional substance screening.
