Job Description

Our Hinton Pulp Division is seeking individuals with strong technical, planning, organization and interpersonal skills to fill the following position:


ELECTRICAL/INSTRUMENTATION MAINTENANCE ENGINEER


Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the E/I Maintenance Engineer will be a resource in elevating the Maintainability of the Electrical and Instrumentation assets and develop and implement Maintenance Strategies to increase and maintain reliability of the assets. As a member of this high performing team, you will be responsible for working safely within the Pulp Mill. Chosen candidates will possess the West Fraser traits of Integrity, Respectfulness, Humility, Hard-Work, Frugality, and Teamwork.


Specific Responsibilities Include


  • Project Manager, Read Reports and create follow up actions plans.
  • Spec new instruments
  • Maintain a Motor database and tracking of the asset history.
  • Maintain the integrity and accuracy of asset information.
  • Red-line, Update and Stamp Drawings for electrical and network functional specs.
  • Management of Change for not like in kind Electrical and Instrumentation components.
  • Maintain current and correct OEM specifications, manuals, and procedures for plant assets.
  • Manage workplace safety for you and your contractors
  • Review update Bill of Materials and PMs


The Successful Candidate Will Possess


  • Excellent interpersonal and team building skills
  • Experience in Electrical and Instrumentation systems would be an asset.
  • A proven ability to build and implement systems
  • A valid degree or diploma from an accredited post-secondary institution. A Technologist degree/diploma will be considered.
  • Experience in an industrial environment with ownership of infrastructure systems
  • The desire to progress, learn and succeed.
  • P. Eng designation is preferred.
  • Embody the West Fraser traits of Integrity, Respect, Humility, Hard Work, and Frugality.
  • Demonstrated problem solving, troubleshooting and analytical skills
