Role summary:
This person will directly report to the Electrical Engineering Manager, and be responsible for supporting the electrical engineering team to complete tasks associated with the product pipeline, including inspection, testing, calibrating, and other tasks associated with the hardware. This position is fully onsite at our Dartmouth, Nova Scotia location, working Monday through Friday, day shift hours. In the role of Electrical Technician, you will be joining a world-class electrical engineering team that is delivering innovative solutions to tough problems.
Responsibilities include:
- Loading firmware onto PCBs
- Troubleshooting and repairing HPCs and other associated hardware
- Setting up and running burn-ins according to established procedures
- Setting up calibrations according to established procedures
- Ensuring orders have been accurately filled
- Completing initial functional testing of PCBs according to established procedures
- Other duties as assigned
- Visually inspecting board components for damage or population issues
- Testing of finished goods using established testing procedures
- Performing calibrations of products and internal tools
- Installing PCBs into products according to established SOPs
- Performing safety checks of assembled products
- Monitoring the burn-in and calibration processes to ensure the board behavior remains normal
- Completing basic board repair/modification through soldering
- Building various pieces of equipment for the production line including cables and cell holders
- Sorting boards according to burn-in and calibration results as instructed by the Electrical Engineer

- A graduate with an electrical technician (or related field) diploma or degree

- Knowledgeable of electronic circuits and soldering fundamentals
- Comfortable working and thinking independently while successfully working with teams
- Able to build positive relationships at all levels of the organization
