Job Description
A career in Deals Valuation, will provide you with the opportunity to help organisations unlock greater value from existing assets and ongoing capital expenditures as well as new acquisitions, investments, and complex corporate arrangements. We focus on a series of services, such as acquisition and disposal valuation advice including deal pricing and negotiation support, strategic value consulting for improvement of corporate and capital management decisions, financial modelling and value analysis. In short, upon being a member of our team, you will support clients to make profound strategic decisions, better conduct business transactions and decisions, appropriately allocate capital investment, and satisfy regulatory requirements with professional skills and in-depth industry knowledge.


Meaningful work you’ll be part of


As an Economics and Policy Associate, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


  • Develop an in-depth understanding of our socio-economic impact analysis methodology
  • Analyze economic information obtained from various sources and, under the guidance of senior team members, synthesize the findings into a clear and concise summary. This will entail gaining an understanding of the purpose/requirement of the analysis and applying your technical skills using software such as Microsoft Office, Stata etc. to analyze and interpret the data
  • Conduct economic literature reviews
  • Contribute to the writing of economic and industry analysis reports for clients and their various stakeholders
  • Work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams with clear communication to senior team members throughout the process
  • Accompany senior members of the team at meetings with clients and act as a client contact in particular in relation to information gathering


Experiences And Skills You’ll Use To Solve


  • Relevant experience conducting economic and/or policy analyses and conducting econometric and statistical analyses
  • Knowledge of Input-Output and Computable General Equilibrium models would be an asset
  • Fluency in French and full business proficiency in English is required
  • Strong skills in computer software tools including Microsoft and Google office tools, as well as statistical packages
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and a master’s degree in Economics, Business or Public Policy
  • Background in accounting and/or finance would be an asset
  • A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences and working alongside diverse people and perspectives
  • Skills in data analytics tools would be an asset
