Drafting Manager Jobs

You will play a pivotal role in overseeing the drafting departments activities, ensuring accurate and timely completion of design drawings and technical documentation for our client’s tier one manufacturing business in Edmonton, AB. Manage a team of drafters, coordinating with other departments, and maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency while learning from the best this sector has to offer.
Requirements
We’re looking for someone to become a key member of our client’s local team. Someone who wants a chance to learn from a leading team of industry professionals. It’s ok if you consider yourself more of an intermediate, but you should at least have several years of professional experience drafting and design, preferably in the oil and gas industry. If you’re tired of mundane, repetitive work and want to join a friendly, passionate team with limitless potential, we’d love to meet you.
The only technical requirement for this role is proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software (and other drafting tools). We’d like to meet strong candidates with a comprehensive understanding of applicable regulations, standards, and legislation related to oil and gas manufacturing. A team leader with a technical diploma in engineering, drafting or relevant field (preferred). Extended skill sets are welcome and encouraged (like supervision, management, leadership, team building, attention to detail, ability to review complex drawings for accuracy and completeness, effective communication, relationship management, and the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously).
