SUMMARY:

Our client has developed the world’s first cloud-native telco platform. Based on next generation mobile network, it combines advanced virtualization and automation technology, including containers and microservices, while being built on the fundamental principles of safety and security.

Companies around the world will be able to use the platform to easily build secure and open mobile networks at high speed and low cost. Customers will be empowered to offer innovative and immersive experiences and generate new revenue streams.

Our client is looking for an amazing, relationship building Presales Director that can help their future customers in Americas with leaning into future-proof mobile network architecture and taking advantage of the Communications Platform.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Accountable for prospecting, qualifying, proposing and closing the opportunities

· Developing technical presentations, technical bids, and solutioning for client specific requirements

· Develop client specific value propositions, solutioning, client engagement plans and associated business case

· Respond to RFI / RFP / RFQ for customers through effective stakeholder management (internal and external), solutioning, proposal building, and closing of opportunities

• Build and maintain direct senior level relationships (key influencers and decision makers) within Americas accounts, facilitating relationships between customer and client

· Minimum of 10 years of experience in mobile telecom pre-sales, architecture or systems engineering

· Detailed technical understanding of mobile network infrastructure, mobile network evolution, and mobile technology stack, including knowledge in 5G, 4G/LTE, VoLTE, IMS, RAN, Open-RAN, EPC, VNF, SDN, Security, Virtualization (VM and Containers), Optical/transport, OSS/BSS, DC/Cloud, and private networks.

· Collaboratively and objectively assesses benefits, costs, and viability of proposed solution options and drives alignment across a diverse group of stakeholders.

· Ability to leverage business knowledge, sound judgement, and resourcefulness to determine appropriate course of action in challenging, ambiguous situations.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

· Ability to engage with and present ideas to senior leadership of Rakuten and customers. · Provides key input to facilitate decision-making process.

· Experience in supporting Sales and technical professionals.

· Proven track record in engaging and managing mobile clients in diverse profiles (large-multinational, small-local), as well as industry/vertical specific solutions.

· Passion for innovation and drive for excellence

· BS/BA degree – technical field preferred

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

· BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Telecom related field

· MS degrees in above fields is a plus.
