DevOps Specialist | Remote | Canada

Opticca has a great opportunity for a DevOps specialist who would like to work in a continuous development environment with complex and challenging tasks. As a DevOps specialist, you will work with development, production, maintenance, and infrastructure teams.

A Day in the Life of a DevOps Specialist

These are some of the main tasks you'll face in this job:

• Improve and support the continuous development process.

• Use and add tools to automate all tasks in the development process and improve the productivity of the development team.

• Be able to understand the multiple challenges related to complex architectures (SOA, SAAS, etc.).

• Be aware of current trends in continuous deployment and integration strategies.

• Promote the DevOps philosophy within the team.

• Share knowledge with team members in the use of continuous development tools so that they can be autonomous.

• Understand networking and security concepts to properly configure solution environments.

Required Skills

• Computer science degree or any other diploma with relevant experience

• Understanding of continuous deployment processes

At least 5 years of experience with the following technologies:

• Knowledge of technologies used in SOA, SAAS, IAAS, etc.

• Experience with Microservices and Web Services like SOAP, REST & JSON

• Software development skills, especially in Java

• Understanding of deployment and testing automation

• Knowledge of the following tools: AWS (Amazon), Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, Linux, Java, and Python is a major asset

• Good knowledge of networking concepts

• Knowledge of Groovy, Shell script, and Git languages is an asset
