Program Overview – Employment Services, Community Programs
Employment Services is a dynamic and result oriented program within CPU which offers a range of resources, supports and services to respond to the employment needs of job seekers and hiring demands of the employers. The goal of Employment Services is to help Ontarians find sustainable employment by connecting them to gainful employment opportunities and or guiding individuals on a path to higher skills and trainings to achieve their career goals.
What You Will Do
  • Processes client information and a variety of other forms of documents by resolving inconsistencies and reviewing data for errors using standard data entry procedures.
  • Verifying, correcting, or combining data from several sources before entering a record
  • Ensures compliance with Company Policies and Guidelines, Strategic Direction, Contractual Guidelines.
  • Tracking client file to ensure files were activated within 72 hours of intake.
  • Updating Training Manual for EOIS CaMS and training staff on the database.
  • Provide back up support & coverage to Front Desk/Reception area for the Employment Team
  • Comply with data integrity and security policies.
  • Tracking Better Jobs Ontario and other statistics as required; submitting reports to EO Manager.
  • Requests further information for files or documents that are deemed incomplete.
  • The position will support the East Employment Service Locations (Danforth, Queen & Vic Park) – most likely based out of the Victoria Park location.
  • Collect, review & submit financial documents to upload into WoodGreen’s accounting platform for client, employer & program payments.
  • Maintain contract/client files in an effective manner ensuring files are complete, organized and filed appropriately for ease of retrieval. Archives closed files, in a designated area.
What You Bring to the Team
  • Minimum of 50 net wpm typing
  • Advanced skills utilizing all Microsoft Office Application and proficiency in various database programs.
  • Minimum of Grade 12 education
  • 2+ years work experience in data entry and/or office administration
  • In depth knowledge of the Employment Ontario Data Management System (EOIS CaMS)

  • Exceptional organizational skills including the ability to set priorities, monitor progress towards goals, and achieve results within clearly specified timelines.
  • In depth knowledge of Employment Ontario’s case management requirements, client eligibility and in-depth knowledge of Client Data Base Management Systems is an asset.
  • Good decision making, judgment and problem-solving skills to know and understands when escalation of complex issues to Management is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment, and is a well-organized, team player who can, manage change/transitions with the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Ability to learn quickly, adaptable, flexible and resourceful.
