Job Description

  • FOR SEPTEMBER-DECEMBER
This role primarily involves assisting the customer service & scheduling team with imaging and document control related tasks. This is an excellent opportunity for a student or a recent graduate to receive exposure to the metals industry in an industrial environment. This role will also provide exposure to various customer workflows including order placement, order processing, invoicing and customer relationship management.
Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with Customer Service & Scheduling Mgr. to manage plant and customer documents.
  • Scan, upload, file and shred (as needed) plant documents which include inbound bills, set ups, work orders, picklists and disputes
Imaging and documentation responsibilities:
  • Other responsibilities as assigned
  • Propose process improvements to minimize discrepancies
  • Reconcile customer invoices with the system in order to rectify discrepancies
  • Assist the customer service team and the receptionist with all document scanning responsibilities
Job Requirements (Skills, Qualifications):
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills
  • High degree of professionalism and confidentiality in dealing with Samuel and
  • Ability to prioritize activities and multi-task in a busy work environment
  • Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word.
  • Enrolment in a Business or Administration related Co-op program or a recent graduate
  • Some customer service or office work experience is preferred
