Astellas Pharma Canada is currently searching for a Content Manager reporting to the Director, Operational Excellence. This is a head office role located in Markham, Ontario with a hybrid work schedule.


Description


The Content Manager is responsible at the operational level to ensure successful content to distribution for Astellas’ brands. The Content Manager plays a crucial role in developing and executing content that aligns with Astellas Canada’s business objectives and meets the diverse needs of our customers. The Content Manager will also be responsible for establishing local processes, in line with global ways of working, for content planning, content creation, content production, Legal and Regulatory (MLR) review and approval, and content distribution in delivery to ensure streamlined operations, efficiency and compliance.


Essential Job Duties


• Serve as a content adviser to the local Brand Managers and responsible for developing content, frameworks and assets as per target customer profile, insights, key messaging direction and claims captured in the Omnichannel Engagement Framework (OEF) and content management system

• Responsible for seamless integration and application of consistent content application into all external-facing channels (i.e. Websites, HCP Portals, Social Media, and Field Force-led channels)

• Responsible for executing and continuously optimizing an internal process of content planning, content creation, content production, MLR review and approval, and content distribution in delivery with the Brand Manager, the Market Experience Manager (MXM), content reviewers such as Regulatory, Legal, Medical and Ethics & Compliance

• Identify and leverage existing global and/or local content across priority products and align to omnichannel campaign strategy

• Work closely with Field Force to understand their content needs for their customer interactions to help produce relevant and timely content for Field Force-led channels (e.g. eDetail, Webinar, remote meetings, 1:1 approved emails, etc.)

• Work cross-functionally with customer facing functions (i.e. Business Units, Medical Affairs, Market Access) and enabling functions (i.e. Regulatory Affairs, Legal and Ethics & Compliance) to ensure customer needs are addressed through consistent application of content in material creation through distribution.

• Drive Global for Local (G4L) content re-use in the affiliate, support co-creation of content with Global SBM team, and ensure local teams leverage global brand portals and make a copy functionality to enable measurement of G4L

• Support the global MLR transformation and execution of process, collaboration optimization and risk balanced approach

• Execute on the modular content application and process, ensuring localisation of global modules and distribution of this content

• Closely working with the Omnichannel Experience Lead and the Content Activation Team in OSO to ensure optimal adoption of the CF, and support local teams with the embedding of new capabilities and services

• Serve as a main point of contact for the MXM and the CF to ensure quality, operational efficiency, and timely delivery of compelling content

• Collaborate with a 3rd party agency or an internal expert who designs and executes campaigns to ensure that content is disseminated via right channels and platforms

• Analyse content effectiveness based on performance data and generate

insights to enable data-driven decision making to optimize content creation and execution



Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in content creation, copywriting, content localization and digital/omnichannel engagement within the pharmaceutical, life science industry or other highly regulated industries

• Experience with data, analytics and insights with the ability to interpret data into meaningful information to help steer decision making

• Strong written and oral communication skills

• Demonstrated ability to communicate, influence, and interact effectively at all levels of the organization, including Senior Management and with Regional/Global functions



Preferred Qualifications

• Previous omnichannel content experience within the pharmaceutical, life science, Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) and/or other content rich marketing industry, or advertising/marketing agency

• Experience with the Legal/Medical/Regulatory review process and local rules and regulations

• Experience with HCP, payer and patient engagement

• Previous digital content transformation experience with specialty products

• Demonstrated ability to drive omnichannel transformation within a regulated environment.
