Role


The purpose of this job is to ensure that all warehouse areas are clean. This role requires maintaining areas of the warehouse to ensure it is hygienic and safe.


Role Responsibilities


  • Effectively communicate with team regarding sanitation activities.
  • Handle sanitation chemicals in accordance with proper safety procedures
  • Follow standard procedures including proper set up
  • Complete facility sanitation as required
  • Operate pressure washers, scrubbers and other janitorial type equipment to perform duties such as rack washing
  • Perform a variety of tasks while standing, lifting, crouching for long periods of time
  • Keep janitorial supply and storage area clean and organized


Qualifications/Skills/Job Requirements (About You)


  • Physical requirements: Ability to lift 50 lbs, Standing, Walking, Bending / Twisting, Sitting
  • Ability to adhere to safety requirements.
  • Certification training in HACCP, GMP’s, WHMIS or Sanitation, and scissor lift is an asset.
  • Basic mechanical skills
  • Must be self-motivated, careful, and organized
  • Good math and English skills
  • Strong work ethics and a good record of attendance.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Must be able to work in cold temperatures for long periods of time (30-40°F walk-in coolers)
