THIS ROLE IS 100% REMOTE HOWEVER CANDIDATES MUST RESIDE IN ONTARIO!


Description Of Position


The incumbent will be responsible for processing accident benefit claims:


Cursory telephone contacts to all parties involved.


Ongoing processing and assessing new claims, detailed and thorough investigation, needs analysis, and delivery of superior customer service


Demonstrates good analytical skills in determining the course of investigation a claim should take. (i.e. When to set up a collection company or legal assignment.


Determine recovery prospects via multiple sources


Create recovery claims packages


Timely management of activities


Ensure adequate claims reserving practices/processing payment.


Identify responsible parties in the process and place on notice.


Proactive diary with and regular follow up calls with members and third-party personnel.


File reporting as per company procedures.


Ensure immediate and effective responses are provided through written/telephone communication to the following: (lawyers, clients, third parties)


Assist with workload for others as applicable (vacation times/buddy system/illnesses)


Share ideas and handling procedures with team and management.


Requirements


Qualifications:


  • Collections experience an asset
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in claims, subrogation/Claims Recovery, or collections.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Possession of CIP/FCIP designation or Collection License would be beneficial.
  • Experience in property claims & Auto Claims a must required.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Completion of post-secondary education or equivalent work experience in a related field.
