THE ROLE


As a Cashier, you provide retail services to a unique client base - members of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF), and in assisting them, you are helping your community. You may provide a variety of services, including regular retail services, dry cleaning, lottery services, self-serve gas services, postal services, and assisting CAF members with credit plan applications. You will operate Point of Sales systems, the debit/credit machine and maintain a float.


The Cashier responds to enquiries from customers providing them with information on merchandising and ensuring the store shelves are stocked, faced, and properly signed. You may take and prepare food and beverage orders and prepare takeout food, while ensuring cleanliness of food service and eating areas.

Qualifications Needed


Education, Certifications and Licenses


An acceptable combination of education, training, and experience


Food Handling Certification, as required


Experience


In cash handling

Perform moderate lifting, carrying, pulling and/or pushing (i.e. more than 10 lbs/4.5 kg but less than 50 lbs/23 kg)


Expressmart CANEX Operational hours: Monday to Friday 6:30 am to 8:00 pm, Saturday and Sunday 9:00 am to 8:00 pm.


Part time unionized employees are required to work 14 to 31.5 hours per week.
