Camp Attendant And Medic - Hay River

WolfTrek, a division of Steel River Energy is s seeking a Camp Attendant and Medic for a small remote operations camp located in the Hay River area.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; and/or a combination of education or relevant work experience.
• Remote camp environment working 15 days on and 13 days off rotation.
• 1+years Medic experience
• Reliable and strong work ethic
• Fly in and out of Edmonton airport.
• Excellent communication skills: written and verbal skills, listening skills, proven attention to detail, and ability to develop good working relationships.
• First rotation will be one week in.

Training & Certifications:

Required for the role:

• OFA Level 3 (must have)
• Must successfully complete pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and ability to provide a clean Driver’s Abstract
• H2S alive, standard first aid, CSO and WHMIS.

Daily Duties

• Email weather report / wildfire updates

responsible for operator check ins from 8:00 am to 7:00pm (operator check ins required maximum every 1.5 hrs)

do camp orientations for all new guests

check in/check out new guests and update room status sheet

bump test personal monitor

conduct radio check on emergency handheld radios and in mtc

sweep and mop hallways and common areas

start mtc / quad fuel them if needed

clean and disinfect all bathroom surfaces and towel racks

Wash Down All Shower Stalls

wash all toilets and mirrors

sweep and mop boot room

Restock Bathrooms With Required Supplies

sweep or shovel off front porch area

wipe down and disinfect medic room surfaces

disinfect all common area light switches and door knobs

wash bedding and remake beds as guests leave

clean all coffee tables

clean ashtrays in smoking room

stock pop fridge
