Role Details

We are seeking an innovative C++ developer to design high-end applications for our clients. You will be determining the scope of software development projects, collaborating on the development of software applications, and obtaining and integrating end-user feedback.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Performing diagnostic tests and debugging procedures.
• Consulting with internal stakeholders to determine the scope of software development projects.
• Optimizing software by performing maintenance, updates, and upgrades.
• Keeping up to date with C++ standards and advancements in application development.
• Collaborating with the software development team on application design and development.
• Creating end-user application feedback channels.
• Documenting processes and maintaining software development records.
• Developing software and overseeing the deployment of applications across platforms.

Qualifications

• Banking Experience
• Superb analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or similar.
• Experience with ATM’s, POS, mobile banking- Asset
• C++ certification preferred.
• Experience in one or more of: Transaction Switching, Card Management, Chip Card, Chip Card Personalization, VISA, MasterCard, Clearing, Settlement
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
• Current knowledge of C++ standards and specifications.
• Experience with ISO8583, ACH, XML
• Financial institution experience
• Proficiency in C++ compliant languages such as C, Java, and Python.
• Great organizational and time management skills.
• Knowledge of SQL, JavaScript, and XML.
• Oracle 10g or higher on Linux or Unix
• 5+ years coding C++ on Linux or Unix
• Extensive experience in deploying software across a variety of platforms and operating systems.

Special Factors

• Availability for on-call support
• Weekends and Evenings maybe required
• International travel maybe required
• Overtime will be required to meet deadlines

Scope

• Will work directly with other Software Engineers, Project Managers, UX Team, business units, clients and third-party providers
• Will work in a matrix environment reporting to both the Software Engineer Lead and Manager of Development
