Brand Ambassador - Part Time (Casual)

Overview

Our co-ed Brand Ambassador team will support the Ottawa Senators at community events throughout the Greater Ottawa region and at home games as required. We are looking for positive and professional individuals who can showcase their passion for the Ottawa Senators by engaging with fans and guests!

This is a part-time casual role based upon the organization’s event and hockey calendar which will include weekday, evening and/or weekend events.

Responsibilities

Off-Site Events (Primary Role)

• Answer routine questions related to team, hockey and/or venue
• Work in pairs or in a team
• Provide a fun, engaging experience at all events promoting a positive experience with the Ottawa Senators brand
• Collect fan data through Senators digital platform(s)
• Interact with fans within the community in a professional manner, initiating conversations about the Ottawa Senators, community programs and ticket opportunities
• Responsible for following event sheet details regarding event set up and tear down and completing tasks on time
• Be comfortable hosting or acting as emcee for events such as Senators watch parties or community events

Hockey Games (Secondary Role, As Required)

• Responsible for following event sheet details regarding event set up and tear down
• Attend pre-event meeting to gain instructions on activities and how they will be executed
• Work in pairs or in a team
• Answer routine question related to the team, hockey and venue as needed
• Interact with thousands of fans on a game night, initiating conversations and executing contests and promotions

Job Requirements

• Outgoing and confident personality - Your enthusiasm for the team and the city should be next level! You will be representing the Ottawa Senators brand throughout the community and should feel comfortable initiating conversations, collecting data and speaking to large groups of people
• Bilingualism (English & French) is an asset
• Able to work weekdays, evenings and/or weekends
• Stand up to 8 hours at a time
• Adaptable - be able to adjust to conditions that may arise and open to different alternatives while still providing a positive experience with the Ottawa Senators brand
• 18 years or older
• Strong work ethic - Our industry is fast-paced, and troubleshooting will be essential. We need hardworking individuals who can take initiative while exercising appropriate judgement with little supervision
• Valid driver's license and provide a clean driver’s abstract
• Open to learning new technology
• Great energy and positive attitude - As a Brand Ambassador you represent the organization in a positive and professional manner. Our Brand Ambassadors love the team, the city, and our fans!
• Problem Solver - Solve problems that might arise at an event, provide solution alternatives and make the appropriate decision to implement in a timely and professional manner, recognizing when to elevate issues to full time staff
• Able to lift a minimum of 20lbs
