Position Summary:Building Automation Preventative Maintenance Technician. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance tasks on building automation systems, troubleshooting and diagnosing issues, commissioning systems, testing and calibrating end devices, providing technical support to customers and sales, and completing maintenance reports and PM reviews.
Responsibilities:
  • Commission DDC control systems.
  • Coordinate with customers and provide site recommendations.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose DDC control systems.
  • Provide site information and technical information to sales.
  • Completing maintenance reports and PM reviews with clients.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose IP/MSTP networks.
  • Provide technical help and support to the Service team.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks on DDC control systems.
Qualifications:
  • Meet Ainsworth Background check and customer security requirements Schedule: Full Time
  • Working knowledge of building systems, primarily HVAC.
  • Programming experience an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently to complete assigned tasks with minimum supervision.
  • 3 years relevant experience in a related environment including a working knowledge of HVAC, building control systems (pneumatic) plumbing, mechanical, electrical, life safety systems/fire suppression, and related equipment and systems.
  • Energy Management an asset.
  • Ability to travel.
  • Delta/Johnson/Siemens experience an asset.
  • Professional and exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Provide services to both internal and external customers.
  • A proven systematic and organized approach to multi-tasking.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
  • Professional and exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of internal and external individuals.
  • Networking background an asset.
  • Proficient computer/cell phone skills appropriate to the role (word, excel, email, BAS, CMMS).
  • Excellent communication skills and working knowledge of the English language both written and oral.
