Banquets Houseperson

As a Banquets Houseperson, you will be an ambassador for exceptional service and cuisine that are hallmarks of our dining experience. Your warm, personal attention, knowledge of our outstanding food and beverage offerings, and outstanding attention to details makes guests feel unique and valued.

What You Will Be Doing

• Set-up, maintain, and break down banquet/meeting rooms
• Maintain the cleanliness of banquet/meeting rooms, hallways, storage, and service areas
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

• Required to be of legal age (19 years old) to serve alcohol in British Columbia
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
• Ability to work cohesively and collaboratively as part of a team
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
• BC Serving It Right Certificate required prior to commencing employment

Physical Aspects Include But Are Not Limited To

• Constant standing and walking throughout shift
• Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50+ lbs
• Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting

Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
