Job Description

OCTAV Integrated Design Inc. is a design-build firm in downtown Toronto specializing in architectural acoustics and audio-visual systems integration. We are expanding and looking for the right fit to join our team.The successful candidate will have demonstrated leadership qualities and play a critical role in managing project delivery by bridging design, installation, and support.

Job Position: Project Manager

Hybrid position: office, on-site, work from home

40 hours/week, permanent full-time.

oPrimary point of contact for coordinating/implementing all activities related to project execution: site surveys and inspections, engineering, fabrication and installation, testing, troubleshooting, programming, commissioning, training, etc.

oProject administration within our ERP software: budgeting, planning, purchasing, scheduling, time sheets, expenses, progress and field reports, RFI’s, change orders, punch lists, etc.

oLead weekly project review meetings.

oLead and manage the installation team and subcontractors.Coordinate with trades.

oLead the installation of all audio-visual and acoustic equipment/materials and verify quality of work.

oProject close-out documentation and handover.

oManage remote and on-site technical services support and preventative maintenance.

oDevelop and manage technical support service agreements and strategies.

oContinuously develop our standards and processes to improve quality and efficiency.

oMaintain and develop strong customer relationships through direct interaction and create a culture of service quality, on-time delivery, problem-solving and responsiveness.

Required:

1.Minimum 3-5 years experience in the audio-visual industry.

2. Strong understanding of installed AV systems and processes.

3.Strong understanding of general contracting and electrical trades, building & construction.

4.Ability to read architectural and engineering drawings, schedules, test reports, etc.

5.Ability to read audio-visual infrastructure and system drawings.

6.Ability to effectively troubleshoot and solve problems.

7.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

8. Self motivated, with effective time management skills and attention to detail.

9. Be able and willing to work at heights.

10.Valid driver’s license with clean record. Travel within GTA.Periodic travel outside of GTA. Reliable vehicle.

Preferred:

1.Diploma or degree in audio-visual, architectural/construction technology, or related field.

2.Experience in AV project or construction management.

3.CTS or CTS-I certification.

4.MOL Working at Heights certification.

5.Proficiency with Sketchup, Revit, AutoCAD, etc.
